Aisha Fayad

General Psychologist
The founder of Inner North Therapy

I’m a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS). I have been with clients for five years, and continue to gain satisfaction in helping my clients achieve their unique therapy goals, and improve their mental health.

My approach to therapy is collaborative – I like working together with my clients to identify treatment goals and work towards them. I aim to provide a very safe, warm, and non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their mental health needs. I believe in connection with clients, and therefore I take my time to get to really know you, which then helps me to know how I can best to help you. This also allows my interventions to be tailored to your specific therapy needs.

I offer a range of different therapeutic approaches, however the main therapy I offer is Schema Therapy. Schema Therapy is a therapeutic approach that focuses on treating the underlying factors that are contributing to a person’s difficulties. Schema Therapy does this by addressing your unmet needs, and breaking lifelong dysfunctional patterns of behaviour and thinking.

I also have experience in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) therapeutic approaches.

I speak Arabic and English fluently, and offer appointments in both languages.
